Markus Lange
Graphic designer, screen printer, photographer and educator
Markus Lange is a graphic designer, screen printer, photographer and educator, living and
working in Cairo. His work focuses on typography, poster design, editorial design, publishing
and documentary photography. Together with Lars Harmsen, Lange is part of the screen print collective Poster Rex. Since 2018, he teaches graphic design at the German University
in Cairo. He has previously taught at numerous universities in Germany, Italy, Portugal,
Turkey, Egypt and regularly participates in international exhibitions. He has received numerous international awards for his work, and received the Award for Typographic Excellence in New York and Tokyo by the Type Directors Club in 2021.
Malak Ghoneim is a Cairo based graphic designer, with a specialty in branding and editorial design. She’s currently making visual identities for brands at Ntsal’s design chamber, and experimenting with Arabic lettering on the side. She hasn’t stopped learning since graduating from the faculty of Applied Arts at GUC
