Archief Cairo

Experimental Design Bureau

Archief Cairo is a Cairo-based experimental design bureau, founded by Ryan Grees, Hana Neuman, Maram Al Refaei, and Yara Ahmed. The studio tackles the topics of Culture and Identity with an aim to preserve, communicate, and research those concepts. As a multilingual studio, Archief Cairo offers both printed and digital matters, including posters, books, and websites. In addition to that, the studio hosts workshops, lectures, and exhibitions that focus on different printing methods or any other graphic design-related outcomes.

Archief Cairo is currently collaborating with the French Institute for Oriental Archaeology (IFAO) to revive the art of Letterpress printing and is also working on the new visual identity of the Hundred Best Arabic Posters Competition (100/100).
